Consortium of Universities and Schools

META-U is an exchange program for master students in Architecture and Urbanism, set up by several partner universities in Europe. The idea is to form consortia. In a consortium universities and schools exchange students and staff.  They can pool their expertise and develop frameworks for joint programs and degrees.

Programme and partners

The transformation of the industrial city to a post-industrial landscape is a challenge for designers and planners. New paradigms and working methods for the built environment have to be developed. Students in the field of architecture and urbanism should be trained to plan, design and manage the field of the post-industrial city and its surroundings, taking in account changing societal and spatial conditions, as well as the specific characteristics and regional identities of the European city and landscape.
